Please read all the information below to register your son or daughter in our soccer league.  


The SCYSL Spring Recreation Development Program, powered by Mogility Soccer, aims to elevate recreational soccer by focusing on individual player development within a positive and supportive environment. Our goal is to help players improve technically, grow their love for the game, and develop valuable life lessons that extend beyond soccer.

This spring, the program will run from March 18th through May 8th and will be entirely professionally coached by the Mogility Soccer staff.


Program Overview

Each week, we’ll introduce a core concept designed to strengthen both the player and the person — on and off the field.
Some weekly themes include:

How to Be a Great Teammate and Competitor

Dealing with Adversity

Gratitude

And More

In addition to these mindset topics, players will work to build a strong technical foundation and a deeper understanding of the game. Throughout the program, we’ll focus on improving:

  • Ball Mastery and comfort in all situations
  • Dribbling Speed and control in tight spaces
  • 1v1 Moves to beat defenders with confidence
  • Next Play Mentality to recover quickly after mistakes
  • Defending Fundamentals and proper positioning
  • Overall Soccer Understanding — learning when, where, and how to make better decisions

By blending skill development with mental growth, players will not only become better soccer players, but also more resilient and confident individuals.

Player Equipment

Please make sure players come prepared with:

  • Soccer shoes
  • Shin guards (required)
  • Water
  • Soccer-appropriate attire (athletic shorts/pants and shirt)
  • Weather-appropriate layers
  • Soccer ball (optional, balls will also be provided)

Weekly Schedule

Players Born Between 2017–2021

  • Wednesday Training: 4:00–5:00 PM
  • Saturday Scrimmages: 9:00–10:00 AM

Players Born Between 2016–2013

  • Wednesday Training: 5:00–6:00 PM
  • Saturday Scrimmages: 10:00–11:00 AM

Wednesday Training Plan

Each Wednesday session begins with an introduction and theme of the week, helping players mentally prepare for training.
We then move into:

  1. Skill Development: Every player works with a ball to improve technical ability and learn new skills.
  2. Application: Players compete in fun, engaging 1v1 drills to apply what they’ve learned.
  3. Wrap-Up: We close each session by revisiting the weekly theme and reflecting on how it connects to the skill of the week.

Schedule subject to change based on effectiveness.


Saturday Scrimmage Plan

Saturday scrimmages are designed to provide lots of touches and game-like experiences in a fun, supportive environment.

  • Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in and find your team.
  • There will be no set teams — players will rotate each week and wear provided bibs.
  • Each week, players will be grouped into small teams (up to 4 players) and will scrimmage multiple short games.

Schedule subject to change.

Training Group Preferences

Players may request to train with friends or siblings at the beginning of the season.
If you have a 2016 player who would like to train with a 2017, or vice versa, please contact us at coachmatt@mogilitysoccer.com.


Parent Informational Meeting

We’ll hold a brief parent meeting during the last 5 minutes of the first training to go over program details and answer questions.
