The SCYSL Fall Recreation Soccer League, powered by Mogility Soccer, is redefining recreational soccer by delivering high-quality, holistic training in a positive, player-centered environment. Our mission is to spark a lifelong passion for the game while helping young athletes develop strong technical skills and a solid work ethic.

This program lays the foundation for future success by preparing players to enjoy the game at all levels and confidently transition into competitive soccer.

Soccer Program for boys and girls in birth years 2020 to 2010 (Under-6 through Under 16)
2026-27 SEASON AGE GROUPS
U-6: Born between Aug 1, 2020 – July 31, 2022
U-8: Born between Aug 1, 2018 – July 31, 2020
U-10: Born between Aug 1, 2016 – July 31, 2018
U-12: Born between Aug 1, 2014 – July 31, 2016
U-14: Born between Aug 1, 2012 – July 31, 2014
U-16: Born between Aug 1, 2010 – July 31, 2012
Fall recreation league has all boys and all girls teams. We don’t offer co-ed teams

We Need Volunteer Coaches when you volunteer to coach in our Recreation Program, the head coach receive a $100 discount for one child’s registration, and an assistant coach receives one $40 discount for one child’s registration. Click here to register for volunteer reimbursement
Soccer Season starts the week of August 10 and ends the middle of November.
Required items to register: Upload a copy of your child’s birth certificate (PDF or JPEG format), and a headshot photo to be used for a player pass (photo must be a clean picture of face and top of shoulder – no glasses, no sunglasses and no hat allowed).

Fall Recreation Soccer Program FAQs

When does the Soccer Season Start and End?

The 2026 season begins the week of August 10th!

Our Volunteer soccer coaches will receive the roster for each team and start contacting parents to notify the day/time of their practices. Each coach determines when/where/practice times as they are volunteering their time to coach your children. Soccer Practices can start after the coaches receive their team roster.

Week of August 10th – the playing season starts and games are schedule on Saturdays in Santa Clara

November 7th – Last game and season ends

What are the Age Groups for Youth Soccer?

5 – 16 years old

Our Recreational soccer program is available for boys and girls in birth years 2021 though 2010. The age groups are broken-out as follows:

Under 6 (5 year old and 6 year old children)
Under 8 (7 year old and 8 year old children)
Under 10 (9 year old and 10 year old children)
Under 12 (11 year old and 12 year old children)
Over 12 (12-16 year olds)

How are Teams Formed?

Teams Matched by Commonalities

Our Age Group Coordinators assign players to teams by matching players that live close to each other and or may attend the same school together. We also take into account the need to put siblings on the same team, and of course the volunteer coaches will roster their own children.

How Do I Apply for Financial Aid Support ?

We Offer Financial Aid to Those in Need

The Santa Clara Youth Soccer League wants to get children off the couch and onto the soccer field. Our goal is to “leave no child behind,” and to help families enroll boys and girls in our soccer program.

We provide a need-based financial aid program for to help families in-need cover soccer registration fees. Our program does not cover the cost for competitive soccer expenses such as: uniform cost, tournaments, travel, lodging, or miscellaneous expenses.
