Santa Clara Youth Soccer League’s Field Usage Policy

Fields are permitted Monday through Sunday through the end of the year unless otherwise noted.

Santa Clara Unified School District Field Permit Policy

  • Youth soccer has Tier-1 usage rights from August through February.
  • Youth soccer has Tier-2 usage rights from March -June, as Baseball and Softball have Tier-1 usage rights. Soccer must yield to baseball and softball between March – June.
  • All permits are from 3:00pm until dark, so teams using fields before 3:00pm must make way for all school programs and activities.

City of Santa Clara Parks Permit Policy

  • Youth soccer has year-round permit access to The Santa Clara Youth Soccer Park, and the Reed & Grant Sports Park facilities.

Burt Field is our SCYSL Field Scheduler and he manages the overall relationship of field access between The Santa Clara Youth Soccer League, and the City of Santa Clara. He is responsible for scheduling of league and scrimmage games for all teams. 

Rubin Mendoza is our SCYSL Equipment Coordinator – takes care of all goals and equipment for the league. If there are access or maintenance issues with soccer goals and equipment, please contact him.
